REFERENCE PHOTOS *see photo examples below or to right depending on browser*
Specific reference photos are needed to capture my subject. They do not have to be professional photos. A cell phone snap with good lighting is ample. For a solo portrait, a head on angle is recommended. For a composite portrait with more then one subject, a mix of head on and 3/4 angle is recommended. I will not begin job until I have proper reference photos.
Head on angle
1. Subject should be looking directly into the camera at eye level.
2. A white or solid background is preferred.
3. Both sides of the face should be symmetrical.
4. No smiling and no teeth. A slight smirk is recommended or a more serious smirk if that is what you would like your portrait to portray.
5. Lighting should be good - no major shadows covering face.
6. Please wear any hat, glasses or adornments you would like to
be wearing in your portrait.
3/4 angle (Slight right or slight left)
1. Subject should be looking into the camera at eye level with head turned slightly to the left or right.
2. A white or solid background is preferred.
3. No smiling and no teeth. A slight smirk is recommended or a more serious smirk if that is what you would like your portrait to portray.
5. Lighting should be good - no major shadows covering face.
6. Please wear any hat, glasses or adornments you would like to be wearing in your portrait.
